I'm a Dekalb native and local multi business owner. Founder of In & Out Cuts Barbershop, and Co-Founder of Legacy Academy Barber College. My duties as the foundation director are to oversee the foundations structure. I will manage program development. I will research adequate resources and ongoing training for members of the foundation. I will lead prospecting for P.O.P. while overseeing the conduct and professionalism between mentees and members of P.O.P. Most importantly I will apply my analytical thinking skills and unemotional approach to all matters in the best interest of all parties.
Katheryne Russel
Intake Coordinator
I am a Sycamore Illinois native who currently resides in dekalb county. I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology with a Pre-Specialist in Education. Additionally I hold a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership. My role is to screen all youth entering our programs to determine possible trauma or mental health needs.
Monique Shah MSW, QMHP
Social Services Coordinator
My role is to be readily available for families, mentees, and mentors post intake if circumstances are to arise requiring social services. Additionally I will oversee all outsourced referrals for services to our partnering agencies.
Julian McElroy
Mentor/Mentee Coordinator
My responsibility is to appropriate place mentees with mentors based on data collected and intake evaluations. I will facilitate the assignment of mentors, develop, maintain, and facilitate a scope and sequence of required topics to be covered by mentors and mentees throughout the mentoring process. Additionally I will facilitate and monitor mentor-mentee interactions.
